Coaching in Education

As an experienced educator and certified professional coach Kate has an   intimate working knowledge of school culture. Kate has brought the coaching frame into educational organizations to enhance leadership, mentoring and school effectiveness. Kate has created and facilitated coaching programs at all levels: with students, teachers, vice principals,  principals, supervisory officers and directors of education. Her experience and research in the area of leadership and organizational development informs her coaching and program development.

 

Kate’s experience in designing and facilitating customized learning experiences to support increased performance, both for individuals and organizations, has proven to bring people and results closer together.

 

Her energy, humour and expertise as an award winning educator, researcher, and educational programming consultant all contribute to her coaching and facilitation.

MentorCoach© Training for Educators: This program was piloted by a national educational leadership association in conjunction with Ontario’s Ministry of Education. As a result of its success it has been licensed for distribution, and has been implemented in over 25 school boards across Ontario and more recently across the state of New York. This program is now being facilitated by a team of experienced principals/Coach-Facilitators, trained by Kate and Jeanie.
